BLMK ICB is committed to making its website accessible, in accordance with the Public Sector Bodies (Websites and Mobile Applications) (No. 2) Accessibility Regulations 2018.

Compliance Status

This website is partially compliant with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines version 2.1 AA standard due to the non-compliances listed below.

Non-Compliance With The Accessibility Regulations

We use the Google Translate plugin on this site to deliver the website in multiple languages. The way the plugin outputs links is not ordered within a list which fails the semantic list guidelines WCAT 2.0 A 1.31 – This software is built by google and the source code is completely out of our control so we have no way to fix these issues.

Using the Google Translate plugin also fails WCAG 2.1AA 1.3.5, but again, the source code is completely out of our control so we have no way to fix these issues.

On the ‘List of Medicines Available page, we use an iFrame to insert content on to the page to allow the user to do a location search, the content provided by this iFrame does not conform to the following: WCAG 2.1 AA 1.4.3 and WCAG 2.1 AA 1.3.1.

Content That’s Not Within the Scope of the Accessibility Regulations

PDFs and other documents
The accessibility regulations do not require us to fix PDFs or other documents published before 23 September 2018 if they’re not essential to providing our services.

Any new PDFs or Word document we publish will meet accessibility standards.

What We’re Doing to Improve Accessibility

Over the next twelve months, we will audit all pdfs and word documents that are delivered through this website and update all documents that were created after 23rd September 2018 and replace any non-accessible versions on this website with updated accessible versions.
